Prints are produced on modern digital printing equipment, using a 7 colour ink set, which gives an intensity of colour and resonance not found in lithographic printing. Much time has been spent balancing the subtleties that digital technology can now access, so as to ensure careful colour and tonal rendition.

Paper and ink manufacturers claim there will be no significant colour deterioration for 75 years.

Prints (which include Etchings, Drawings, Photographs and Geometrics) are signed and numbered. No prints are currently supplied framed.

Current Statement

Creation and Destruction - Man's Place in the Universe.

Like reading a book, but through a process of metempsychosis and image making, I enjoy discovering the diversity and underlying unity behind what can be perceived in the world. All manifestation is the product of imagination, whether divine or human. The Ancients well understood not only how the creation of form, amongst matter in full generation, required many elements but also the subsequent purpose behind the destruction of all form. I am preoccupied with mirroring these themes through layers of meaning, though, as in the tradition of detective novels, connections between paintings are frequently challenging and speculative. It has been said that the intention behind my work is obscure because of the stylistic diversity and lack of repetition.

Having established a working repertoire over the years, the current chapter in my visionary book of learning and discovery starts to look at boundaries and their dissolution. It is difficult to convey the intensity of pleasure that can be gained from the creative process. It is rarely appreciated just how difficult painting actually is.
